In all seriousness: this Thursday and Saturday, Opera Memphis performs Don Giovanni, Mozart's famous opera version of "Don Juan", and it's going to be genuinely amazing. If you haven't had a chance to see/hear Memphis' very own opera company, know that the musicians and singers are incredibly talented, the sets and costumes are lovely, and you'll be glad you tried something new.
Tickets range from $33 – $74 depending on seats, and the show is at 7:30 p.m. at GPAC both nights. Don Giovanni is really more for adult audiences. If you do want to take your kids to the opera, Opera Memphis is putting on kid-friendly Hansel & Gretel in mid-January.
Ciao Bella is in East Memphis at 565 Erin Drive; it's open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and for dinner starting at 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. They have a pretty mouth-watering Instagram account. See their menu and more info at ciaobellamemphis.info.
UPDATE** Congrats to our winner, Molly Oster, who is taking her boyfriend to the opera and a dinner at Ciao Bella this week!***
